1897 5c UPU to St. Helena Island.

1897 Montreal Type 1 “F” flag (Jan 27) and smudge cancel ties 1/2c (3), 1c, 2c Small Queen on 2c postal stationery on cover to “Postmaster General, St. Helena Island off Coast Africa”, wit St. Helena receiver on face (MR 7). The cover is paying the 5c UPU letter rate (overpaid 1/2c) to a very rare destination. The cover with edge faults, a crease and adhesion scuffs on reverse. This is one of three covers to St. Helena and up until a few years ago there were no known covers. An absolute must for a Small Queen exhibit. Ex Cantor.
