18886 Rodney, Ontario (OC 11) on cover with 3c Small Queen to Moose Mountain, ASSA bs.

Reverse with Moose Mountain, ASSA (OC 22) being a ms corrected date for “OC 1”, perhaps indicia were lost and postmaster had to manually correct the dates. The Moose Mountain is a RF “D” with an ERD of June 19, 1884 and a LRD of OCt 11, 1888 (Lundeen database).

There is also a Moosamin, NWT bs (OC 15).

The enclosed letter speaks of farm issues and family. There is one brief mention of another man going to Moose Mountain and buying dogs.
