The first Canadian Military Postal History Anthology, published in 1991, was 250 pages in length. Interest in Canadian Military Mail has continued to be strong enough to result in a second 250 page Anthology. The 44 articles, written by 21 Authors, cover the period from 1897 to 1997.
There are several Boer War articles, more than a dozen from World War I, a larger number from World War II, plus a few from the Korean War and the post WWII Peace Keeping era.
Subjects include Commemorative covers for Boer War Nurses; Postage applied to WWI mail arriving in Canada from servicemen and women serving in France and Belgium; an explanation of WWII Blackout cancels originating in the United Kingdom; WWII Armed Forces Air Letter rates from India to Canada; and life on a Minesweeper during WWII. Other subjects include a photo of the Canadian Postal Corps Staff taken at Salisbury Base Camp in in England in 1915; photographs from the transit of the Czech Legion across Canada after World War I; and Mail to and From Royal Canadian Navy Personnel During World War II. The 1997 article concerns mail handling for Armed Forces personnel help-ing out during the devastating floods on the Red River near Winnipeg that year.
