1889 2c UPU postcard to Spain, Schooner Otter, later wrecked

.1889 #P4 2c UPU postcard from St. John, NB (missed cancel) but reverse dateline “13 Dock Street St. John, NB Oct 15th 89”  to Cadiz, Spain paying 2c UPU postcard rate.

The card was sent to Captain A.W. Welsh of the Schooner Otter c/o British Consul in Cadiz, Spain.

The reverse shows arrival postmarks Cadiz (29 Oct). The message from Alf Martin tells of his brother dying from an abscess on the liver.
